VLSI Design
VLSI Design
The 26th International Conference on VLSI Design: concurrently with the 12th International Conference on Embedded Systems Design – is a forum for researchers and designers to present and discuss current topics in VLSI design, electronic design automation, embedded systems, and enabling technologies. Two days of tutorials will be followed by three days of regular paper sessions, special sessions, and embedded tutorials. Industry presentation sessions along with exhibits, panel discussions, Design Contest, and Education Forum round off the program.

The theme for the conference is Green Technology - A New Era for Electronics, which explores the ability of VLSI and embedded circuits and systems to positively impact the environment. Example areas under the theme include (but are not restricted to) designing energyefficient VLSI circuits, improving the efficiency of energy-hungry applications such as data centers, developing intelligent monitoring and control systems such as smart grids, and using integrated circuits or embedded systems to leverage novel green technologies.

Pune city, also known as the Oxford of the East, has witnessed huge growth in its VLSI and embedded community over the past few years and is proud to host its very first VLSI Design Conference. The conference organizing committee is looking forward to making this an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

submissions

Regular Papers:
Please submit previously unpublished papers electronically at the conference website by 24th July, 2012. The manuscript should be limited to six pages using a two-column IEEE conference template, and should clearly state the novel ideas, results and applications of the contribution. Submissions will undergo a DOUBLE BLIND REVIEW.
Half-day and Full-day Tutorials:
We invite proposals for hands-on tutorials that explore an advanced technology in the area of VLSI or Embedded Systems. Proposals for full or half-day tutorials must be submitted electronically at the conference website by August 2nd, 2012.
Embedded Tutorials, Special Sessions, Panels:
Proposals for embedded tutorials (short tutorials) and special sessions (a set of related papers on a subject) in emerging areas will be considered for inclusion in the technical program. For panels, proposals must be submitted with an abstract, together with names of panelists.
Design Contest:
We solicit entries for the design contest from full-time graduate and undergraduate students, and professionals from industry and research establishments. Entries must be submitted electronically at the conference website by September 15, 2012.
User/Designer Track:
The goal of this track is to provide a platform for the design community to present and discuss practical aspects of all stages of design - including architecture, system design, RTL implementation, circuit design, verification, CAD flows, timing closure, DFT and physical design – using actual chip implementations as examples Complete submission details are available at the website www.vlsidesignconference.org.

exhibits

Please contact the exhibits chair to explore opportunities for companies and institutions to display their products/services.

fellowships

The conference will award fellowships, based on need and merit, to partially cover expenses of attendees from India. Candidates with accepted submissions will be given preference. Application details will be posted at the website.
